HSPC announces the retirement of Peter Timmins from his position as Director
After dedicating 45 years to health architecture, Peter has stepped down from the role he has served since 2009.

After dedicating 45 years to health architecture, Peterhas stepped down from the role he has served since 2009.
Throughout his time at HSPC, Peter contributed his expertise to countless healthcare projects, including working on many of the states most significant facilities including the Alfred Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, Maroondah Hospital, Austin Hospital, Warrnambool Base Hospital, Latrobe Regional Hospital, and the Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct (AMREP). He has always been driven by a desire to deliver outcomes that exceeded his client’s expectations and takes great pride in their ensuing accomplishments.
Peter began his career in health architecture at Yuncken Freeman Architects in1979, serving as a site architect on the Austin Hospital Stage 2. This experience sharpened his skills in legal matters and technical knowledge. Peter developed the principle that good design should be clear and understandable. He believes that “good design is the art of least compromise,” acknowledging that design must consider all possible solutions while balancing various, often conflicting, constraints.
At HSPC, Peter's lead many of the firms most complex projects, while managing Quality Assurance including maintaining detailed technical standards and contracts with both clients and contractors. His commitment to producing technically sound buildings and effective documentation systems has left a lasting legacy for the company.
As Peter winds back his involvement over the coming months, prioritising the transfer of his knowledge and technical experience, we are celebrating this significant milestone for Peter and HSPC, and extend our sincere gratitude for his dedication, loyalty, and leadership.
