Each member of the team is carefully selected for their unique skills, potential, and ability to contribute to the health environments they design. Chris Doufas

Chris Doufas
Managing Director / Health Planner
Chris has 20years experience in health architecture covering an extensive range of models of care both in Australia and internationally. Chris ensures he has direct involvement in all projects, preferring a ‘hands on’ role within the practice. He provides clients with a detailed understanding of facility functioning and contributes his expertise in the aligning commercial requirements of healthcare provides, with the various building procurement methodologies. His extensive experience in master planning and health facility planning gives stakeholders every confidence that their project evolves in the right direction. Chris prides himself on building relationships that are built on trust and commitment.
He will ensure you project meets the objectives set from the outset through to completion.

Peter Timmins

Peter Timmins
Director / Health Planner
Peter is Director and Registered Architect with over 35 years’ of professional experience, with a particular focus upon health care and scientific projects. During that time he has been involved in a wide variety of developments, encompassing virtually every field of medical architecture. He has proven skills all aspects of project delivery, from master planning through detailed planning, documentation and project implementation. He manages our detailed technical standards, documentation protocols and contract preparation in the practice.
Stephen Sinclair

Principal
Stephen is a Principal with a passion for healthcare architecture. His skills are in facility planning, design, documentation and project delivery. Stephen is also closely involved in client and user group liaison, together with the co-ordination of specialist consultants. Stephen’s experience covers projects across eastern Australia.

Principal
Matthew is a Principal, responsible for managing HSPC’s continual development and integration of BIM based design and documentation techniques. He has proven experience in architectural documentation, through the various stages of project delivery. Matthew provides project leadership on wide range of health care commissions.
Matthew’s professional strengths lie in documentation, consultant management, BIM implementation, facilitation and training, together with client/user group liaison.

Cameron Harvey

Cameron Harvey
Interiors Director
Cameron has over 30 years’ of experience in Interior Architecture and Design. Understanding strategic facilitation, planning and design, together with their interpretation into innovative design solutions are Cameron’s forte. Across the health care, aged care, commercial, residential, hospitality and retail projects, Cameron provides design solutions that enhance commercial aspirations and user experience.
Patrick Dewhirst

Patrick has over 25 years’ experience in health and aged care architecture. He is passionate about creating and delivering environments that support and promote community health and wellbeing. He has a particular interest and skill in disability access.
Patrick’s experience encompasses all aspects of project delivery, from master and clinical planning, through to documentation, project implementation and contract administration.

Martin Hall

Martin Hall
Director
Martin Hall holds a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons), Bristol University, England, Master of Arts in Architecture, Royal College of Art, London, England and is a Member of the Royal Society of Designers. Martin is a Technical / Project Director, responsible for the documentation and delivery of a wide range and scale of work from the master planning of international educational campuses to multi-storey commercial towers and luxury residential projects with an emphasis on the Middle East. Over the last few years he has, together with our expat staff stationed in Qatar, been responsible for the design of a number of innovative, cutting edge projects in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Qatar.

Socrati Seretis is an Associate Director and Senior Design Architect, with extensive foreign experience in the UK and Middle East.
His portfolio of work covers Hospital-Health Science, Residential, Civic & Leisure, Retail and iconic Commercial Towers. His strengths are establishing client-architect relationships to help deliver a ‘Vision’,
a vision that captures the soul and character of a scheme that tells a story and has the ability to evoke an emotional response. A creative mind, critical eye and honed skills in the latest 3D architectural software are the tools Socrati shares with all his projects.

Robert Abajas

Robert Abajas
Senior Associate
Robert Abajas is an Associate and a Senior Project Manager with the company. Rob joined us in 2001 and since then has established himself as one of our most expert and experienced Aquatic and Sports Centre team members. Rob’s expertise has helped see the successful delivery of a number of our most iconic and recognized sporting facilities including the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre, the South Australian State Aquatic Centre and most recently the highly successful WaterMarc facility in Greensborough. Rob has continued his ‘education’ with a number of international trade conferences and seminars – ensuring we gain the knowledge necessary to maintain world’s best practice.
Garry Calderwood

Garry Calderwood
Senior Associate
Garry Calderwood is a Senior Associate with the company and has been with us for 25 years, since joining in 1989. As a Senior Project Architect / Team Leader, Garry’s role involves the documentation, coordination and delivery of some of our largest and most complex projects such as Hewlett Packard and the Bosch Australia Headquarters. Garry has a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) from the University of Auckland.
Fotine Doufas

Fotine provides leadership and strategic advice across our architecture and interior design teams. Through her extensive experience, she has gained a reputation for the excellence of her health care design, in particular interior treatments. Whilst she was with the Victorian Department of Health, Fotine was closely involved in the delivery of high quality design outcomes. She believes that good design is essential for an inclusive, healthy and beautiful environment that is accessible to everyone.

Associate Director / Design Lead / Health Planner
Askolds is an Associate Director and gifted design architect, with extensive experience in the conceptual and detailed design of complex health care and residential aged care projects. He has broad expertise in crafting both the external and internal expression of buildings. Askolds is involved throughout the design process. He is motivated by the creation of harmonious, integrated architecture.
Steven McLean

Steven McLean
Senior Associate
Steve has a wealth of health care design experience. His interests include the practical integration of health facility planning and new technologies with environmentally sustainable design for the long term operational benefit of health care projects.
As an Associate, Steve is involved in all phases of a project from design through to completion. He enjoys working closely with clients and user groups to optimise project outcomes and knowledge sharing.

As well as being an architect himself, Elio Mirabelli is our IT Manager responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our office IT systems and servers. Elio also ensures that we remain abreast of the latest trends and advancements in software and technology and its application and introduction into our management systems.

Since joining us in 2010 as a Project Architect, in this role, Anthony has been responsible for the delivery of a number of commercial and residential projects including 200 and 212 Victoria Streets, 313-333 Victoria Street Kew, and the Scots Church Redevelopment at 150 Collins Street. His qualifications include a B. Arch (Hons) and B. Arts in Architecture both from Deakin University, 1993-1998 and is a Registered Architect and Member of the RAIA in Victoria.

Tony Matticoli is a Documentation and Detail Coordinator with Peddle Thorp. Having joined us in 2007 Tony has worked on some of our largest and most technically complex projects including the QNB Tower in Doha Qatar, Oasis Hospital in Al Ain, RACV City Club Expansion and Royal Pines, Queensland, the Scots Church Precinct Development and the Guild Apartments in Sturt Street South Melbourne.
May Chung

May Chung
Principal
May Chung is a Project Architect with Peddle Thorp. During her time with us she has worked on the documentation and delivery of a range of projects including commercial and residential. Her project experience includes the Pinnacle Apartments in Doncaster, Penleigh and Essendon Grammar's Gymnasium and Arts Complex and the QNB's Dukhan Branch. May holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Melbourne and is a Registered Architect in Victoria.

Mark Pascuzzi has recently returned from three years in the Middle East heading the Oasis Hospital Team. As Project Architect, Mark has been responsible for the documentation and delivery of such projects as the Denton Mills Apartments in Abbotsford, Building 83 Refurbishment and Lam Manna Direct, both at Essendon Fields and of course the Oasis Hospital in Al Ain. Mark joined Peddle Thorp in 2006 and has a Bachelor of Architecture from Deakin University and is a ARBV Registered Architect.
Elizabeth Kules

Administration Manager
Elizabeth Kules is the Administration Manager at Peddle Thorp working together with Elio Mirabelli and our Administration Team to ensure the successful day to day running of the company. Elizabeth, together with the Directors and Marketing Team, is responsible for the preparation and production of presentation and submission work and the marketing of the firm. She is also Chief Fire Warden for the building - so if you see her running... just try and keep up.
Melanie Bromley

Melanie Bromley
Associate - Interior Design
Melanie brings her extensive project and design experience to Peddle Thorp as an Associate - Interior Design and leader of our in-house Interiors team. As well as a mentoring role, Melanie works through all design phases from concept to site delivery, across many project sectors. Previously specialising in Multi-residential and Retail design, Melanie has further developed her wide-ranging skills across Sport & Leisure and Commercial design, whilst building strong and confident client relationships.
Lou Butrakoski

Lou Butrakoski
SENIOR DOCUMENTER
Lou joined Peddle Thorp in 2007 as a CAD Documentor. During his time with us, Lou has worked on a large number of projects including Melbourne Aquarium, The Dubai Mall Aquarium, Qatar National Bank Tower as well as the multi award winning RMIT Design Hub. Lou holds a Associate Diploma in Architectural Drafting and an Advanced Diploma in Building Design both from NMIT.

SENIOR DOCUMENTER
Having joined us in 1999 from New Zealand, Slave Slavkoski is a Documenter in charge of coordinating and providing documentation of a number of major projects. Slave's project experience includes 'Aquanation' Ringwood District Aquatic Centre, Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre, AFP House at Melbourne Airport and the Craigieburn Train Maintenance Facility. Slave's qualifications include a Diploma of Architectural Technician, Civil Engineering School, Skopje, Macedonia as well as AutoCAD Intermediate Skills course, UNITEC Institute of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand. He has also completed REVIT Training and REVIT Architecture Introduction Courses.

Sarah Crozier is an architect working on such projects as Oasis Hospital, Scots Church development and the Cairns Aquarium. Sarah has a M.Arch from Princeton University USA, and a B.Arch (First Hons) and B. BSC, both from Victoria University Wellington NZ. Sarah is also a Registered Architect in Victoria.

Administration Assistant
Thomaista Scimia is an Administrative Assistant as well as Purchasing Officer for the Group. As a long serving employee, she provides administration support across the board, reception relief and assisting accounts when necessary, together with a variety of tasks to help the smooth running of the office. She also provides assistance to the Chief Fire Warden for the building during fire evacuation drills.

Having joined us in 2004 in as an 'entry level' administrative assistant, Thuy has grown into her position with the firm as an Administrative / Accounts Assistant helping to ensure that things run smoothly. Thuy also provides Reception and support services as required to the Group.
Dai Phung

SENIOR DOCUMENTER
Having graduated in 2000, Dai has worked for a range of Architects and Builders prior joining Peddle Thorp in 2007. Since then, Dai has been involved in a number of large projects – both nationally and internationally. Well verse in construction techniques from structural components to the fine details of joinery and cabinetry, Dai is an invaluable member of our documentation team. With project experience in multi residential, high rise and ‘warehouse’ commercial, schools, aged care, hospitality and retail design, his project portfolio is diverse and wide ranging.
Dai is a passionate Hawks supporter, loves watching sports, fishing and bike riding and is fluent in both Vietnamese and English.

Valeria Corallo

Valeria is a Registered Architect and part of our documentation and delivery team. She is passionate about sports & nutrition, but most of all about architecture - making things work and having a positive effect on Melbourne and other beautiful cities. Having worked on a number of residential and commercial projects Valeria’s project portfolio is now expanding to our sports, community and health sectors.
Michael Somers

Michael Somers
Director
As Senior Associate / Team Leader / Project Architect Michael Somers worked on some of our most complex and challenging commercial projects including the RACV City Club and expansion works, Scots Church Development and the ground breaking Oasis Hospital in Al Ain. Michael was also Team Leader on the proposed landmark iconic QNB Tower in Doha - the world’s tallest skyscraper at the time of its design. Michael has now returned to us as PTA’s Director in charge of Practice Management.
