Focusing on the patient experience throughout the planning and development of the oncology facility, the oncology treatment pods have been arranged into small clusters, each oriented towards large picture windows providing views toward the Dandenong ranges and large amounts of natural light. Materials selected give a softness, warmth and familiarity through carpet-look vinyls, timber laminates and discreetly positioned clinical services.
Multiple quiet rooms and breakout spaces provide patients and carers respite from the treatment space, while multiple satellite work stations ensure staff can work efficiently across a large facility with time to respond to patients needs with care and empathy.
